My Heart Reminds Me

My heart reminds me of the time
when I saw a baby crying for its mommy’s milk.
My heart is filled with black nights with bats all around me.
My heart reminds me of the time I first learned to walk.
My heart is filled with red hearts telling me to follow my dreams.
My heart reminds me of the time I first tasted ramen noodle soup
and said, “It’s hot!”
My heart is filled with daisies that smell wonderful.
My heart reminds me of the time I first touched paper.
My heart is made out of pictures filled with happiness.

I Heard a Song

I heard a song
that took me to Germany.

Touring a castle,
seeing everything
from
knights in shining armor
to the beautiful
castles
with gold and silver.

Everything is wonderful
and beautiful
and peaceful.

A spark in my mind
that someone lived here at this place!

Someone had enough
money to buy everything
anything they wanted.

Someone lived here at this
place
at that time.
They could get whatever
they wanted.

They are greedy
and selfish
and ungrateful.

Everything in my
mind stops when the song is over!

Oops II

Cover of "Oops!"

Cover of Oops!

Because of the crushed house,

Because of the pig,

Because of the glass of

Milk, because of the spinning

Saw, because of the rock,

The house fell down.

So they bought a new

House.                  They bought a car,

A porch swing,

They bought a grill, and they

Bought a TV.

The pig got on the porch swing,

Swung high,

And did, mistakenly,

Of course, crash the car; the car

Knocked the grill, dropped

The pork belly. Oops!

Then the TV showed reruns over

And over until the TV

Broke, so Oops!

A pig child came out

Of the house, and played with his sword

And he sliced the pole

That held             the new house

Together and the house

Fell down. Oops!

Everything happened

Because of the pig and the swing!

Capture My Heart

A perfect love was found when you captured my heartIs this the whole picture?
Or is it just the start?
Is this the way you love me?
You’re capturing my heart.

I used to try and walk as one,
but I’ve begun to grow.
When you tell me just to rest,
I’m finally letting go.

I let go,
and I’m here to stay.
I know nothing can separate us;
I know I’m okay.

You cradle me gently,
I know I’m not alone.
Wrapped in your arms,
I’m home.

I’m seeing so much clearer,
looking through your eyes.
I could never find a safer place,
even if I tried.

All the times I’ve needed you,
you’ve never left my side.

I’m here to stay.

The Wildlife Is My Mother

Cheetahs

Image via Wikipedia

When I am bored, she sends cheetahs

so we can race.

When I am cold,

she wraps me all around with vines and leaves.

Whenever I am hungry,

she drops apples all around me,

or when I’m injured,

she grows medical herbs to heal me.

When I want to get refreshed,

she uses her long leaves and flaps them back and forth.

The wildlife is my mother,

my beautiful mother.

Chocolate Ice Cream World

I wonder what kind of dog I will have.
I hear the ocean.
I see the beach.
I want Christmas to come.

I am kind.

I pretend Christmas is here.
I feel a thousand feet tall.
I touch winter’s snow.
I worry about my mom and dad.

I cry for my mom when she is sick.

I am kind.

I understand math and science.
I dream I am a superhero.
I fly 100 miles per hour!
I try my best.
I hope the whole world
will be made of chocolate ice cream.

I am kind.

Midnight World

Nobody disturbs

a sleeping road

at midnight.

Nobody disturbs

the jewels of the

sleeping sky

at midnight.

When the sky turns black,

everything begins to sleep

until the sky spins red.

Everything is quiet

and peaceful

everything is gone,

only peace and quiet are still there

until the sky turns red.

That’s midnight.

Christmas

christmas lights

I love hot chocolate

and when Christmas

lights light up the

Christmas tree

I love holiday

shopping and opening

presents and snow on

Christmas morning

I love the smell

of gingerbread men

when they come

hot out of the oven

I love to make

round snowmen

with big tummies

I love when

Christmas lights light

up the town tonight.

Ice

Tangerine Sorbet Skies II

Ice poured from the atmosphere like rain pours from a cloud

but the tangerine skies remained filled with flocks of chirping birds.

Emerald grasses soft as clouds bend down as I sit upon them.

Not far away, the ocean shines like a thousand diamonds stretching out into the world.

Silence surrounds me; there is no sound for miles.

There is only the sound of the wind that whispers past my ears.

The strength of the breeze is incredible.

It rams me with a blazing cold.

For hours I wonder through this mystic land feeling as if I was alive.

This Pen

Fountain pen nib

Image via Wikipedia

This pen is perfect,

Just right for my size.

This pen is indeed perfect,

But there is something I despise.

The lid is cracked and

The ink is running low.

The pen is a little crooked.

I guess it is a little old, but

Otherwise everything is fine.

This pen is my favorite

With its words still engraved

And its healthy green glow.
