Time don’t have wings.
That’s why it doesn’t fly.
That’s why you don’t see it
Traveling across the sky.
When you have something to do
It will pass you by.
Time ticks like droplets
From rain.
They fall inside a can.
Once it’s full, time begins
Again.

Writers in the Schools (WITS) is the #1 literary arts organization in Texas, increasing literacy and nourishing creativity across the nation. With 80 writers and educators on staff, WITS has a reach throughout Houston in classrooms, community centers, museums, parks, and hospitals.
