Writing Contest for High School Students

High school students in grades 9 through 12 are invited to participate in the Gannon University English Department’s 31st Annual High School Poetry Contest.

Needed: Your original poetry

Deadline: February 1, 2009

Prizes Awarded:

First Prize $100
Second Prize $75
Third Prize $50
Honorable Mention

How to Enter:

Type each entry separately on plain white paper.  Include your name, home address, and phone numbers in upper left corner. Include high school name, address of high school, your grade, and teacher’s name in upper right corner. Send 1 to 3 poems. (Do not send your only copies.  Poems will not be returned.)
