WITS Writer presents “A Reading for Seniors”

reflections3WITS writer Larry Hunter is presenting “A Reading for Seniors” at Finnegan Park this Thursday, November 13, from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Larry will read ten pieces from his published book of poetry “My Reflections” and high school students will read excerpts from his play “Echoes of the Past,” a comedy based on his own experience at Phillis Wheatley High School.

Playwright Larry Hunter has staged over twenty stage plays throughout Texas, and in 2000, he founded Colourwhirl, Inc., a non-profit organization for inner-city kids in the areas of theater and spoken word poetry that creates a comfort zone for writing. He has taught with WITS for 15 years.
